Young Prisms 'Floating in Blue' by kaninerecords "Floating in Blue" is our first taste of In Between, the second LP from SF dreamgazers Young Prisms. The new album comes out on March 27th, and the group's upcoming US tour kicks off on Wednesday, February 22nd at Cafe Du Nord (8pm, $12). Young Prisms release acoustic b-sides and demos of select tracks from ‘Friends for Now’

While Young Prisms has been quietly working on new material, in the meantime the band has made some of their unreleased recordings available for the first time on this new cassette from Portland label Gnar Tapes (started by the band White Fang). The Demos cassette features acoustic recordings of various tracks from the band's Kanine debut, Friends for Now, as well as demo versions of some of those songs. As if 26 bands in two days this past weekend at Treasure Island Music Festival wasn't enough for us, so comes CMJ Music & Film Marathon in New York.
