Premiere: Window Twins – "Others (Uptown Sinclair Remix)"
Exray's Jon Bernson and The Fresh & Only's Tim Cohen "got the band back together" last year to release Window Twins' second LP, Wish. The album was first made available by the cassette label Crash Symbols, which has since sold out. Southern California's Volar Records released a limited run of colored vinyl this month, for sale in their online store. Mixtape: The Many Sides of Tim Cohen (Podcast #238)
Mixtape: The Many Sides of Tim Cohen (Podcast #238) Our latest mixtape showcases the many sides of one of San Francisco's best and most prolific musicians, Tim Cohen. Cohen's latest band, The Fresh & Onlys, have been seemingly unstoppable as of late, with a series of terrific singles culminating in the acclaimed Play It Strange. As prolific as The F&Os are, it's insane that the band's released so many great records. This mix reveals that the same principle--quality and quantity--extends to Cohen's other work as well. No matter what sound he's tackled in recent years, from the experimental collage-pop of [...]
Window Twins – “4th Place”
As side projects go, finding the time and reason to get together and make something often takes the backseat -- especially for those busy with bands like The Fresh & Onlys or Exrays. Still, Tim Cohen and Jon Bernson managed to bust out a new Window Twins track, entitled "4th Place," posted to Secret Seven's website. Window Twins - "4th Place" Here's a great excerpt from the Howells Transmitter site that aptly describes Window Twins' sound: Cohen and Bernson collect these remarkable moments into living layers and build them into homemade skyscrapers. The Twins deliver magic from both sides of [...]

Window Twins – I’m This Tall City
A record as disarmingly personal as I'm This Tall City feels like a rare and special creature. "Personal" might be a little misleading. There's no indication that it's lyrically autobiographical in any sense, and it's not particularly narrative-driven for the most part. Musically, though, the intimate and varied soundscapes that layer the work's nine songs feel like a trip down the rabbit hole into the strange and fascinating musical psyches of its creators, The Window Twins.
