Wildlife Control – "Ages Places"
Brooklyn and East Bay duo Wildlife Control had a successful South by Southwest, playing at least four shows and their own official showcase. They also recently released their latest single "Ages Places", and it shows these guys are much more than just one catchy tune with an a amazing video. The track starts off with an easy-going, dreamy sound before picking things up and hitting you hard with a driving drum track on the back half. Wildlife Control releases debut LP, celebrates at Bottom of the Hill tonight
Wildlife Control is an alternative/pop duo formed by brothers Neil and Sumul Shah, who grew up in rural Pennsylvania but are now bi-coastal; drummer Sumul lives in the East Bay while guitarist and lead vocalist Neil is in Brooklyn. Being split across the country presents some obvious challenges, but Sumul tells me there are a couple advantages: they are able to draw from the different energies from each coast and have two bases for touring.
