WagakkiBand (photo: Robert Alleyne) You may know of Japanese band WagakkiBand from their YouTube hit "Senbonazkura" or have heard of them before as they are only now embarking on their first U.S. tour, but they're worth your time to seek out. The band played at The Fillmore last Saturday night, July 16, 2016. Their music fuses Shigin, poetry recitation rooted in Japanese traditional performing arts, Wagakki, traditional Japanese instruments and an infusion of modern rock.
