Following the release of her debut album Fear, the Canadian pop singer is making tour stop at Milk Bar as part of her 2020 Fear Tour. Those Throwin’ Bo’s folks are at it again, plunking down some of our favorite musicians and getting them all in the same room. And what better place to see a solid local show than Oakland’s Eli’s Mile High Club? Country fans unite! This Saturday, Throwin' Bo's presents another Milk Bar show that we’re pretty pleased for. Headlining the evening is Andrew Duhon, the Grammy-nominated artist rolling out from New Orleans. This fellow is one of the rare country rock folks that you can’t find on the mainstream country stations with, as Rolling Stone says, a “soulful croon.” He’s a modern country man with solid messages and—unlike some of his modern country brethren—none of that cheesy stuff some of his peers are rockin’ out. Beloved dive bar Elbo Room has staved off becoming another Mission District condo (twice!) over the past few years. This quintessential stop on any Mission District pub crawl has a small venue space tucked away on the second floor.
