Ty Segall's new band Fuzz is set for Noise Pop 2013
After releasing three albums last year, Ty Segall is already back at it. As we told you at the beginning of January, he just released a 7-inch single with his guitarist Charlie Mootheart under the moniker Fuzz. The 7-inch, which features the tracks "This Time I Got a Reason" and "Fuzz's Fourth Dream", is already sold out, but you can still stream it via YouTube (below) or Spotify. Review: Total Trash Halloween Bash, Day 2 @ Verdi Club, 10/27/12
It's the rare show that devolves as the night moves along, but, by name alone, the Total Trash Halloween Bash didn't promise an especially sophisticated evening. In this context, though, devolution was both welcome and expected, as the Coachwhips' first show in seven years appeared to pick up right from where the band left off, playing to an excited, partly-costumed crowd from a dimly lit corner of the Verdi Club's floor. Burger Boogaloo coming in March: The Traditional Fools return; Moonhearts, Strange Boys, Personal and the Pizzas, many more scheduled to perform
The Traditional Fools - "Davey Crockett" Burger Records and Total Trash Booking have announced a wild weekend for garage-o-philes next month in SF. The Burger Boogaloo takes place from March 25th through the 27th, and features five shows at El Rincon and Thee Parkside. Among the bands announced, we're most excited about the return of SF surf-punk trio The Traditional Fools (whose members include Ty Segall), but there are plenty of cool bands also scheduled to play, including Nobunny, Mean Jeans, Moonhearts, Ty Segall, Davila 666, Strange Boys, Personal and the Pizzas, and many, many more.
