The Sam Chase premiere new video ahead of East Coast tour

San Francisco's raucous Americana rock and roll outfit The Sam Chase and the Untraditional are celebrating the advent of an East Coast tour this month by releasing a new music video just in time to send them off with a boost. The song, "Great White Noise" is the title track of the album that was released in April of this year. According to Chase's camp, "it is [a] sarcastic jab at the status quo and an unapologetic look at the societal effects of the constant bombardment of information that we have to wade through as a culture. Judging by the subject [...]

The Sam Chase & the Untraditional brighten Monday with “There For Me” video

The new video from San Francisco locals The Sam Chase & the Undtraditional? It's one of those perfect Monday remedies. When you're feeling lifeless and despondent in a case of the beginning-of-the-week blues, "There For Me," well, will be there for you. Easy puns aside, the song, which appeared on our annual fundraiser compilation last year, is a sultry, sweet folk-rock ballad that showcases Chase's gruff, emotional vocals and the T Sisters' nice backing harmonies. Our editor Russell Jelinek called it his "gravelly best." The video follows a simple premise, but one that was bound to yield (and did yield) [...]

Mixtape: Spotlight on San Francisco Singer-Songwriters

http://media.libsyn.com/media/thebaybridged/SF_Songwriters_2015_Mix.mp3 Download: Mixtape: Spotlight on San Francisco Singer-Songwriters (Podcast #361) It's not entirely clear why a remarkable new wave of singer-songwriters has begun to emerge in the San Francisco Bay Area recently, but we certainly aren't complaining. Other genres may fall more in and out of vogue, but a wide array of local songwriting talents influenced by folk, rock, blues, pop, and psych are performing regularly in places like Viracocha, Doc's Lab, and The Chapel, and banding together for showcases like the Fog City Songwriters series of quarterly events. While veteran performers like Lia Rose and The Sam Chase regularly [...]
