Friends of Tricycle Records Compilation Vol. 4 drops today (FREE DOWNLOAD!)

Big news for those searching out burgeoning Bay Area bands: Tricycle Records has released yet another exemplary mix, entitled Friends of Tricycle Records Compilation Vol. 4. It features some of the best local acts and premieres tracks from The Union Trade, BLAUS, and The Northern Key. Everyone Is Dirty not only contributed a track ("Isn't It Great?" off their 2014 album Dying Is Fun, which you can stream below), but the band's guitarist, Christopher Reece Daddio, mastered the compilation at Donut Time Audio. Noise Pop 2010: Sunday Preview

After the cavalcade of Noise Pop offerings on Saturday night, Sunday's got just two shows and handful of films. Bottom of the Hill features an afternoon show with locals Dizzy Balloon. The Northern Key release self-titled debut

The Northern Key - "Proof" SF's The Northern Key celebrate the release of their self-titled debut this Wednesday night at the Make-Out Room. The band is the latest project from singer/songwriter Andrew Galluccio, and the album is "a collection of songs inspired by and named for the Varnaline record Songs in the Northern Key." Also notable, the album was recorded and produced by Chris Chu of The Morning Benders. Wednesday's show is the latest monthly installment of the monthly Penny Arcade series, so expect semi-acoustic performances from Loquat, Marabelle Phoenix and Todayokay as well. The Northern Key debut at Eclectic Live

The latest installment of "Eclectic Live" takes place Wednesday night at Harlot (9pm, $5, 21+), featuring Tricycle Records bands Geographer and The Northern Key, and DJs Elise (SomaFM) and Jacob Fury. The Northern Key will be making their debut live performance in advance of the release of their self-titled first record in February 2010.
