This Sunday, May 1st at the Wild Wild West (an underrated venue explored recently via the Boulevard Ear) will feature The P's and Q's, The Heated, and Tik-Tik Fly for an early show that doubles as a fundraiser. The P's n Q's – "Grant's Asylum" Cristina from the Heated (check out her 12 Songs Project and Etsy store) is raising money for friends who are participating in the AIDS Lifecycle, so this show will feature bottomless PBR in exchange for a $10 donation, as well as BBQ and a raffle for handmade prizes. The show will go from 3:00 - 7:00 [...]

The Heated (aka Cristina Espinosa) has focused her DIY spirit and embarked on the Twelve Songs Project, a project that involves recording and releasing one song at a time for every month of 2010. Her classic, bluesy Liz Phair style is well-represented in "Cars Roll Down," the first song of this project that will be available for free download until the end of February. Grand Lake - "She's a Hater" This week's featured podcast band Grand Lake headlines a Deli SF-presented show this Thursday night at the El Rio that also features Beatbeat Whisper and The Heated. It's been a mixed week for Grand Lake, with the theft of their van and stage piano being an obvious low, but the release of their excellent new Sandusky Sunset cassingle worth celebrating.
