Berkeley rockers The Atom Age are back in action this week, with the release of their new album The Hottest Thing That's Cool on Asian Man Records. While the blaring saxophone and surfy guitar riffs make it tempting to label them as a throwback to 60s garage rock, the gang vocals and viciously upbeat tempos reveal their punk and hardcore roots -- think T-Rex meets Black Flag.
