Sons of Kemet (photo: Ria Burman) Sons of Kemet brought their atmospheric, powerful vibes to SFJAZZ Wednesday night getting the dance floor full and move-grooving, fast. Sax, tuba, and double drum kits held the stage as the London-based quartet, led by visionary saxophonist and bandleader Shabaka Hutchings, worked skill, dazzle, and awe into the instruments, joining sound creations to make magic music. Their third album release, the 2018 Your Queen Is A Reptile, off of Impulse! Records, is well worth of a whirl.
