As a full-time environmental activist and musician, I've always had a real soft spot for Parks and Records — an indie label whose mission is "To support original music while helping protect the parks that we love." With bands like Silian Rail (favorite parks: Joaquin Miller Park, Eno River State Park) and Shuteye Unison (favorite park: Humboldt Redwoods State Park) on the roster, though, you don't necessarily have to even give a shit about the environment to find plenty to like. Shuteye Unison launches Kickstarter campaign to press album on vinyl

In the immortal words of Olivia Newton-John, Shuteye Unison says "Let's Get Physical!" in their new Kickstarter campaign: What are we trying to do? Simple, raise money to press our new album onto vinyl. It's been a long journey of late nights, heated musical debates and moments of pure shut-eyed unison. As of now, all we have to show for it are some digital ones and zeros. Shuteye Unison – ‘Our Future Selves’, 11/16/10

Shuteye Unison has announced the arrival of a new album, Our Future Selves, which will be available starting November 16th, 2010. This new album, another dose of fresh indie pop, is the latest since the band's 2008 self-titled release.
