Premiere: Seatraffic – “Spoken Reprise”
(Photo Credit: Madison Kotack) The Seatraffic duo quickly became a favorite at The Bay Bridged by extorting our love for synthy underwater dreamscapes and the most visually stimulating of live shows. Now we have the honor of premiering "Spoken Reprise" – lead singer Mark Zannad explains, "Back in April we got a free day of recording thanks to Converse and the Rubber Tracks sessions. We had just finished writing and recording our album Beauty In The Night and we really didn't have any material to record. Brandon and I got together and locked ourselves in our practice space until we came out [...]

College and Seatraffic play Rickshaw Stop on Friday
For those not on Ryan Gosling sensory overload while watching Drive, College provided the whispery dream-pop "A Real Hero" for the 2011 Cannes Best Director winner. Now French electronic musician David Grellier has released an EP entitled Save The Day under that same College moniker, with purely instrumental beat-driven synth tracks aside from the title track. Watch "A Real Hero" with clips from the film below for a refresher: Before College headlines Friday night's Rickshaw Stop show, San Francisco's very own Seatraffic will wow us with their synth-developed dreams. Formed by Mark Zannad and Brandon Harrison, Zannad is an architect who created The Glacier, a backdrop for performances used to [...]

The Best of the Rest, 10/17/2014 (Cool Ghouls, Seatraffic, & more)
Cool Ghouls It’s time for our roundup of all those highlights from the last couple weeks that we weren’t able to feature on their own – here’s the best of the rest, as determined by The Bay Bridged editors. San Francisco's Cool Ghouls are gearing up for the release of their sophomore album A Swirling Fire Burning Through The Rye on November 11 via Empty Cellar, and they just dropped the third new track off that upcoming effort, the whirling, twirling, ethereal psychedelic ditty called "What A Dream I Had": Seatraffic released a cool mini-documentary about the making of their [...]

http://media.libsyn.com/media/thebaybridged/LTM_September_2014.mp3 Download: Live This Month: September 2014 (Podcast #345) In Live This Month, we sample some of the great local and out-of-town bands performing in the coming month in the San Francisco Bay Area. Scottish trio PAWS just released Youth Culture Forever, and the band's tight songs are matched by a live ferocity. Another trio crafting explosive, 90s-influenced rock is Slothrust; the Brooklyn band's Of Course You Do arrived earlier this year. As [...]
