Robert Whitman brings rare ‘Prince Pre-Fame’ photos to Lower Haight gallery

The High Priest of Pop, His Royal Badness, The Purple One, Skipper, Alexander Nevermind, The Artist Formerly Known As...however you choose to refer to Prince Rogers Nelson, a new gallery in San Francisco's Lower Haight remembers the Prince of Funk's early beginnings before becoming a modern-day Mozart. Prince Pre-Fame is, in a way, a tribute and homecoming of sorts.
