Moshi Audio launches the monthly Artist's Living Room Series tomorrow: Release the Sunbird, Emily Jane White

On Wednesday night, Moshi Audio launches the monthly Artist's Living Room Series at the Guerrero Gallery. The free event is described as something of a VH1 Storytellers for the indie set, featuring performances by and conversations with talented independent artists in an intimate setting. It's the sort of series that would work best with charming, thoughtful performers, and the organizers picked a dynamite pairing for tomorrow night in Release the Sunbird and Emily Jane White. If this sounds good to you, you can RSVP over at Do415 or by emailing RSVP[at]moshicorp[dot]com.

Release The Sunbird celebrate new EP 'Imaginary Summer' with Brick & Mortar show this Friday

Last July, under new moniker Release The Sunbird, Zach Rogue of Rogue Wave released arguably one of the more under-the-radar albums of 2011 with Come Back To Us. The music's immediate warmth and kind-hearted melodies showcased an excited musician and thoughtful project. Rogue apparently (and luckily) had more completed Sunbird material to share with us, and recently released the digital EP Imaginary Summer -- a collection of five new tracks along with a cover of Talking Heads' "Road To Nowhere" -- which you can currently download on iTunes and Amazon. The EP's first track, "I Will Walk," premiered on Rolling [...]

New project from Zach Rogue of Rogue Wave – Release the Sunbird

Zach Rogue -- frontman for Rogue Wave and occasional solo performer -- has launched Release the Sunbird, his official new project. Release the Sunbird came about when Rogue was in Bloomington, Indiana in the summer of 2010, where he randomly booked some time in a local recording studio and started laying down some new tunes. "Always Like The Son" (a lovely, sunny, and delicate song) is available for streaming now, and those interested can download the song for free (in exchange for an email address). "Always Like The Son" is from Release the Sunbird's debut album, Come Back to Us, which [...]
