First City Festival announces 2014 lineup featuring Beck and The National

As we told you a little while ago, the second iteration of the First City Festival will take place August 23 and 24 at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center. Now the folks behind NorCal's newest summer music fest have announced this year's lineup, and it's nothing short of spectacular, featuring indie legends Beck and The National as headliners, along with the likes of Best Coast, Dawes, Tokyo Police Club, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Speedy Ortiz, as well as local faves Geographer, Sleepy Sun, The Family Crest, Doe Eye, Cool Ghouls, and Survival Guide. QUILT by Quilt Boston rock trio Quilt just completed the classic Cannonball Run adventure across North America every band does for the first time: crunched together in a van, joking around, and documenting those silly, ironic run-ins that occur only when you blast 3,000 miles to the other side of the continent.
