It's no surprise that Eric Kang of Poor Sons is also in Buffalo Tooth, as the bands share the same basic premise: psych rock that eschews the tinny retro vibe, at least production-wise, and instead goes with a bassy, heavy sound. Poor Sons – ‘Dyunes EP’ free on Bandcamp

Dyunes EP by Poor Sons The emergence of yet another great garage band out of San Francisco: meet Poor Sons. They offer a free batch of radical bar anthems on their Bandcamp page, the self-released Dyunes EP. Poor Sons' next show will be in the new year at the Hemlock with more San Francisco bands, Party Owl and Cool Ghouls, on January 14 (RSVP).
