The Town Howlers (photo: William Wayland) Words by William Wayland Pickin’ on Hate is a Bay Area effort created and organized by the Town Howlers to raise money and awareness in support of tolerance. Friday’s second annual fundraiser at Ashkenaz raised $4,200 for the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC).  As the Howlers’ John McKelvy noted, “Not bad for a night of pickin' and grinnin'!” Hardly Strictly Bluegrass host, Chuck Poling, was on hand to emcee the show.
