Night Genes set to release "Cyber Me" video at Hemlock this Friday, 12/7/12

San Francisco folk-rockers Night Genes are set to release the video for their track "Cyber Me" – the band's first video – this Friday at the Hemlock. This is the first local show from Night Genes in seven months, as frontman Eric Ingersoll has been living, traveling, and performing in Europe. In 2013, Ingersoll plans to settle in SF permanently to finish writing and recording Night Genes' next album. Friday night at the Hemlock, Night Genes will be joined by a pair of fine new Bay Area bands: retro-pop duo Youth of the Beast will open things up followed by [...]

Night Genes - "Soaring Through the Chromosomes" Two other local bands open: Tidelands and Yesway, the [...]

Night Genes – "Cyber Me"

Night Genes - "Cyber Me" San Francisco folk-rock trio Night Genes will release their second full-length album at the end of the month, Like The Blood. "Cyber Me" is the first single off of the record, a baritone but upbeat number with a hint of electronics. About the record: Sonically, these songs are a bit like the musical version of an Old Fashioned with rabbit-shaped ice cubes. Much of the guitar was recorded with a $100 Silvertone guitar from the early 1960s. David has introduced compelling loops with his sampler. Amy soars through each track with dancing, effortless melodies. The [...]
