Ben Chasny project New Bums releasing debut

New Bums – the new project of Ben Chasny of Six Organs of Admittance and Donovan Quinn of Skygreen Leopards – is set to release its debut album Voices in a Rented Room on February 18 via Drag City. According to a post by Chasny on Six Organs' webpage, the pair had been "fooling around with this record for about 5 years now but last year we got serious (I guess)." Voices in a Rented Room is a marked departure from Chasny's main project, with a slew of acoustic guitars and broken-down folk sounds creating a compelling piece from start-to-finish. [...]

Tim Hecker - 'Virgins' Nicole: Tim Hecker strikes again with the first taste of his next album out in October, Virgins: "Virginal II."
