Nada Surf returns to SF for sold-out show at GAMH
"We are in the middle of a slow-motion, 20-year tour here in San Francisco," joked Matthew Caws, lead singer and guitarist behind indie rock favorites Nada Surf. On Friday, May 20, Nada Surf played the second show of an extensive 35-city tour, appearing at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, featuring a 25-song set list and a double encore. Every four years, lo-fi indie-pop sensation Nada Surf becomes restless enough to return to the studio, and subsequently, the road. Former Port O'Brien frontman Van Pierszalowski's latest project WATERS premiered their previously unreleased b-side "If Only" on Stereogum in both streaming and downloadable formats this past Monday. WATERS debuts video for "Mickey Mantle," heads back out on the road
Fresh off a supporting gig on Delta Spirit's 30-date North American tour, WATERS premiered their video for "Mickey Mantle" on Consequence of Sound. The track, which highlighted the band's opening set at the Fillmore last month, is the third off the band's debut album Out In The Light to get the official video treatment (after "For The One" and "Back To You").
