Shoegazing at the Hemlock with Whirr, Moonbeams, Lorelei, and Half String

The Hemlock Tavern is hosting a special shoegaze showcase on Saturday, June 23, featuring Bay Area newcomers Whirr (Tee Pee) and Moonbeams, as well as 90's veterans Lorelei (Slumberland) and Half String (Captured Tracks), with Mike Schulman of Slumberland Records/Black Tambourine spinning records between sets. San Francisco's lo-fi sextet Whirr (formerly known as Whirl) released their debut full-length Pipe Dreams earlier this year, a follow-up to their 2011 Distressor EP.
