Vancouver’s Energy Slime and Tough Age playing pair of Bay Area shows

Canadian duo Energy Slime is on tour with their label mates, Tough Age, in support of their debut release, New Dimensional, out now on Mint Records. The two Vancouver-based pop bands will perform on April 25 at Eli's Mile High Club in Oakland, and on April 28 at El Rio in San Francisco. Stockton's Monster Treasure will support them for both shows, with Oakland's Meat Market joining the bill for Saturday's Oakland show. Live at the Honey Hive: Monster Treasure

Stockton’s Monster Treasure recently gave quite the performance at SF Pop Fest, alongside hard hitters Dressy Bessy, Dreamdate, and SF favorites Swiftumz. This Friday, the pop trio returns for a second San Francisco date at the Honey Hive Gallery. The self-proclaimed creators of “pop songs with a pomegranate glaze,” Monster Treasure has been creating fuzzy, sugary tracks since 2011. The LP (the band's debut, out this summer via Harlot) is the first example in which primary songwriters Briana Granados and Rachel Orimo wrote the songs separately and later came together to record at Nu-Tone Studios (rather than their usual style of writing as a cohesive unit). This summer, Stockton's Monster Treasure is releasing their debut LP on Harlot, (the label that also released the debut of Stockton's Satan Wriders) Today we're giving you the first chance to a track from the album, with the premiere of "Wake Up". Monster Treasure has been around since 2011, releasing an EP and split cassette with Baby Sitter on Shake! Records.
