Mayhem 2014 kicked off its 2014 nomination period on Monday, soliciting the opinions of Oakland music fans far and wide about the best songs and videos from Bump City musicians this year. The nomination period runs through October 1, winners will be announced on October 20, and the event culminates with performances by those winners at Mayhem Festival, which takes place at Awaken Cafe on November 14 and 15.
