Video: Man/Miracle live at the Hemlock

This video is several high-rung steps above the slightly shaky, off-the-cuff smartphone concert videos that we've grown accustomed to seeing. Matthew Rome brought a whole crew to the Hemlock to film Man/Miracle in action, and it seems that the extra effort was worth it, as the end result is excellent from top to bottom. Man/Miracle will be at the Great American Music Hall on April 26th, opening for tUnE-yArDs (8:00 pm, $15).

Yesterday, CMJ premiered a new song from Oakland's Man/Miracle, entitled "Don't Waste It." According to the band, "Don't Waste It" is their new single, out soon via Third Culture Records. The sound of "Don't Waste It" is huge, guitar-driven, exploding in every direction and buoyed by energetic percussion. Listen below, and download via CMJ. Review & Photos: Radar Brothers, Man/Miracle, Mist and Mast @ Rickshaw Stop 6/24/10

I ended up at Dan Sung Sa again, a rare late night eatery in Oakland, and a new personal fave. They are open evenings only from 6pm-2am. The walls are plastered with vintage Korean movie posters and most of the seats are in cute little curtained booths. If you find yourself in Oakland after midnight, check them out at 2775 Telegraph. The spicy pork is delicious. The menu is extensive and includes chicken gizzards, snail salad and yogurt soju! Just prior, LA based Radar Brothers played the Rickshaw Stop (for the very first time). The crowd was small but the [...]
