Photos and Review by Jon Ching Putting on a spectacle is a feat that King Khan and the Shrines have refined and perfected into a high energy, crowd-moving show. Multimember walks through the audience, a pole-dancing saxophonist, and countless kicks, spins and lunges were some of the treats the loose, yet enthusiastic, crowd was treated to last night at Slim’s. Video: Moon Duo – "Sleepwalker"

Moon Duo — the psych-rock brainchild of Ripley Johnson (guitarist for Wooden Shjips) and Sanae Yamada — recently dropped the official video for their track "Sleepwalker". Elvis Christ King Lollipop Then the first King appeared! King Lollipop came with a complete set of drumming minstrels. Shannon (of the Clams) played some fine cowbell. Hunx (of the Punx) banged away. The King stood alone on the other side of the stage lookin' as usual like Mortimer Mouse (astutely pointed out by Shannon in a recent TBB interview). It's getting harder to find a YouTube [...]
