Kaki King to bring multimedia synesthesia to Swedish American Music Hall this Sunday

First, because words can only do so much, watch this: Color me impressed. (Sorry). Experimental guitar virtuoso Kaki King casts light projections onto her Ovation Adamas 1581-KK electric guitar to recreate synesthesia as a live experience. Her 2015 album release, The Neck is a Bridge to the Body, was meant to be seen specifically in this format. Glowing Pictures, best known for their multimedia work with David Byrne and Brian Eno, Animal Collective, and the Beastie Boys, co-produced this visual experience. Mountain Goats and Kaki King Play Thursday, Friday

The Mountain Goats return to the Bay Area once again for two shows in San Francisco - Thursday at The Independent and Friday at The Fillmore, both with Kaki King (NY). The amazingly prolific and talented John Darnielle was kind enough to do an interview with our own Adrian Bischoff this year during Noise Pop. It's no surprise that since then, he has released a new EP, entitled Satanic Messiah, that can be downloaded online (he's counting on donations!).
