Josh Lippi releases ‘Now Open Sundays’

Flay this summer and Tommy Guerrero earlier this year in addition to gigs with Lee Bob & the Truth, somehow managed to find the time to release his debut album, Now Open Sundays, last month. Lippi makes it clear from the opener that he came to play some rock and roll, and play it loud, which he does for most of the album. Get to Know: Josh Lippi

You may not recognize Josh Lippi's name, but there's a good chance you've heard his work. As bassist for The Park, A Million Billion Dying Suns, and many more projects, Lippi has recorded and shared the stage with plenty of talented musicians, but he hasn't recorded music he's written or sung until now. Lippi began the process after spending eight months on the road with several acts, self-recording all the instruments in "The Torta Oven", where The Park and A Million Billion Dying Suns have recorded much of their material.
