As one fourth of Toronto electronic instrumental group Holy Fuck, Brian Borcherdt and his buddies developed a template for creating electronic grooves with live instrumentation to avoid the robotic splicing and looping made so easy by Ableton Live and other software. For his new side project Dusted, Borcherdt has become even more human. Lead single "Property Lines" vanquishes the goofy synthesizers of Holy Fuck, replacing them with a mid-tempo guitar strokes and Borcherdt's curious tenor (reminiscent of singers like Jim James and Band of Horses' Ben Bridwell).
