Giraffage – "Feels"

Since releasing his debut album Comfort last November, Giraffage has become a more stable presence in the Bay Area electro scene. The often spastic but always rhythmic tracks are quickly defining a unique sound for the multi-instrumentalist/DJ -- whose real name is Charlie Yin. Set to release an EP in August, Yin has offered up a new track titled "Feels", which you check out below. He recently finished a small California tour and is set to appear at False Profit's annual Priceless festival up in Belden next week.

Giraffage & XXYYXX: New EP out 5/15 on Kitsune

San Francisco's Giraffage and 16-year old Orlando, Florida producer XXYYXX are preparing to release their new collaborative dream-pop EP entitled Even Though on May 15 through Kitsune Records. The EP includes the original "Even Though" track and four remixes by Teen Daze, Slow Magic, Reid, and The One AM Radio. Sacramento Electronic Music Festival books Raleigh Moncrief, Giraffage, James & Evander, Yalls

Still flying mostly under-the-radar, the 2012 Sacramento Electronic Music Festival will feature a healthy showing of the Bay Area's best electronic musicians including Raleigh Moncrief, San Francisco producer and multi-instrumentalist Giraffage, the electro-pop of James & Evander, and Oakland-based producer Yalls. Sounds like a pretty good excuse to get out of the city and enjoy some of that beautiful, hot Sacramento spring weather. The festival takes place May 3, 4, and 5 at Harlow's and Momo Lounge and is 21+. Tickets are available at Harlows.com.
