Natural Child to release new album on Burger Records

Natural Child, Nashville's folk-country-R&B-psychedelia smashup, announced a new record via Fullerton label Burger Records. Dancin' With Wolves, which is scheduled to release February 25, dwells on the vices and controversies of modern young society—consumerism, race relations, and sex to name a few—and names The Rolling Stones, Canned Heat, and Waylon Jennings as influences. Hot off a tour of Europe that ended last month, the boys are setting off again in January to tour the West. They'll make stops throughout California—including at Pappy & Harriet's, that legendary outpost near Joshua Tree National Park—before hitting San Francisco in late January with Futurebirds. Devotionals and Big Eagle open for Futurebirds, 9/7/10 at the Rickshaw

Tonight (Tuesday) at the Rickshaw Stop, 9/7/10, some low-key music will help us nurse our sunburns and ease us back into reality after the Labor Day festivities. Ears of the Beholder and Aquarium Drunkard have paired up to present locals Devotionals (feature podcast) and Big Eagle as they open for Georgia's Futurebirds. Devotionals - "Chest Like Expansive Wings" Futurebirds - "Johnny Utah" The show starts at 8:00 pm and costs $12.
