Finest Dearest: final show, new record

Well, here's a downer. We've followed and been friends with SF's Finest Dearest from their chamber pop days to their more recent 90s-inspired sound. Unfortunately, as the above flyer indicates, the band is calling it quits, with a final show at Epicenter Cafe (7pm, $5) and a new album, Good Enough, available on iTunes. I don't have any more info about the new record, but here are a couple of tracks: Finest Dearest - "99" Finest Dearest - "Bud Light" Stirling Says and Drowning With Our Anchors open Saturday's farewell show.

Finest Dearest/Empty Rooms Release Split EP

Two fantastic local bands, Finest Dearest and Empty Rooms will release a new split EP this Saturday, Jan. 31st. The EP is entitled Wedding EP and includes two new songs from each band, recorded in one night at Different Fur Studios. The bands will celebrate the release with an early show Saturday at the Make-Out Room.
