The Switchboard Music Festival will celebrate its fifth anniversary on April 1st with eight hours of non-stop music from Bay Area artists who are pushing the boundaries in their respective genres. Faun Fables opens for Dirty Three this weekend

This weekend the mesmerizing instrumental trio Dirty Three visits from the Down Under to play Great American Music Hall with opener Faun Fables (Oakland). Singer-songwriter Dawn McCarthy embeds dark, minstrel folk within a theatrical storytelling experience (preview above). Faun Fables is also playing in Nevada City at the Nevada Theater this Friday, and the Uptown in Oakland on 10/3 with local acts Jesse Quattro and Emily Pallan.
