Welder (Eskmo side project) – “Run”

Welder: "Run" (2011) by Welder SF's Brendan Angelides has been making waves lately as Eskmo, but he's now returning to his other project Welder, which mixes electronic and acoustic instruments into dynamic compositions. Welder's new album Florescence comes out on 9/26 on Angelides' Ancestor Media label, and you can download "Run" at his web site.

Night shows announced for Outside Lands 2011 – Vetiver, Best Coast, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

As in previous years, Outside Lands 2011 will feature a series of night shows to supplement the main festival lineup. The night shows will start the Wednesday before the festival, and conclude on the final night (August 10th - 14th), and will take place at the Independent, the California Academy of Sciences, and the Rickshaw Stop. The only catch: you can only buy tickets if you have a ticket to Outside Lands. The Independent tonight (9pm, $15) hosts four flavors of SF electronic pop, with Eskmo, Blackbird Blackbird (performing with a full band), oOoOO, and DJG. Eskmo - "Cloudlight" Blackbird Blackbird – "Give You Everything" oOoOO - "Hearts" A portion of proceeds from tonight's show benefit the Mission-based nonprofit Precita Eyes, which "seeks to enrich and beautify urban environments and educate communities locally and internationally about the process and the history of public community mural art."
