El Rio celebrates its 38th birthday this weekend!
38 is an unceremonious birthday. There are no big parties with fancy dresses, no party-store gag gifts that remind you how old you're getting, and no pilgrimages to bars in the name of getting (legally) trashed for the first time. But this is El Rio we're talking about here. On Saturday (that's tomorrow!), El Rio is celebrating their 38th in a very ceremonious way — with local bands and music from 5 to close. El Rio boasts shit-kickin’ lineup for Memorial Day music event
By all objective measures, El Rio is one of the top bars in San Francisco. That’s just not up for debate. It has a nice selection of cheap beers, an awesome backyard patio, a pool table, shuffleboard table and a ping-pong table (on Thursdays). Sorry, but I’m sold.
