El Rio celebrates its 38th birthday this weekend!

38 is an unceremonious birthday. There are no big parties with fancy dresses, no party-store gag gifts that remind you how old you're getting, and no pilgrimages to bars in the name of getting (legally) trashed for the first time. El Rio boasts shit-kickin’ lineup for Memorial Day music event

By all objective measures, El Rio is one of the top bars in San Francisco. That’s just not up for debate. It has a nice selection of cheap beers, an awesome backyard patio, a pool table, shuffleboard table and a ping-pong table (on Thursdays). Sorry, but I’m sold.
