NightLife LIVE 2015 series kicks off with Machinedrum and B. Bravo

NightLife LIVE returns to California Academy of Sciences tonight with Machinedrum Vapor City Live and B. Bravo, presented by DJ Dials. The monthly series is part of the Golden Gate Park science museum's weekly Thursday night programming, featuring live performances in the outdoor West Garden and DJ sets in the indoor Piazza. The event is open from 6-10pm to 21+ patrons. Beer and cocktails are to be enjoyed, including NightLife's signature Magnolia Aliciella Bitter. WillCall Announces secret show on Thursday with mystery headliner

San Francisco's own WillCall has announced a secret show featuring a yet-to-be revealed headline and DJ sets by Cool Greg and DJ Dials this Thursday at Rickshaw Stop. No word on the mystery headliner, but rumor has it that you should probably wear comfortable shoes—whoever it is will get your feet moving and heart pumping. oOoOO album preview with Groundislava at Public Works 5/4/13

Flip your crosses and triangles upside down, oOoOO is back for another round. In the wake of two decreasingly dark EPs, San Francisco-based electronic musician Chris Dexter (the man behind oOoOO) is finally releasing his full-length debut this summer. Lucky for us, Future|Perfect is throwing an album preview party this Saturday, May 4 at Public Works. Groundislava, DJ Dials, and Marco de la Vega will round out the bill. Danny Brown playing two Bay Area shows, ditching Baauer for the second

Detroit rap personality Danny Brown is poised to take over the Bay Area this spring with a couple of live shows separated by a month-long gap. The first gig, on April 17 at The Independent, is a stop on Brown's "Worst of Both Worlds" co-headlining tour with Baauer. Last year, Brown collaborated on a track with Purity Ring, who will coincidentally be playing the same night at Bottom of the Hill. I wonder if they will meet halfway for burritos. XXYYXX (Photo: Tim Draut) The faint smell of reefer already began to permeate the DNA Lounge as local beatmaker Nanosaur took the stage at 10pm, opening an event featuring Teebs and headliner XXYYXX as part of Thursday night's all electronic lineup during Noise Pop Fest 2013.
