Club Chai, one of the Bay Area’s most vital and far-reaching art and dance music collectives, is celebrating its three-year anniversary at Public Works in San Francisco on Friday, March 1, 2019, in partnership with Red Bull Music. Club Chai began in Oakland as a club series in January 2016, and has since grown into a multifaceted, audiovisual curatorial project with its own record label and radio show. Red Bull Music brings local DJ showcase to Oakland
If anyone needs a convenient introduction to Oakland's thriving nightlife scene, look no further than this weekend's Red Bull Music Presents Oakland: Block Party on July 28 at Geoffrey's Inner Circle. Established in Downtown Oakland in 1993, Geoffrey's Inner Circle is one of the few remaining Black-owned nightlife venues in Oakland. The club was recognized by the City of Oakland for its contributions to Bay Area culture and the local community, and recalls Oakland's rich musical heritage while opening its doors to today's bubbling underground scene.
