Citay and Vetiver get remixed
New, Improved, LIVE participants Citay have been hard at work this year on a new album, but they also took some time to compile reworkings of songs from 2007's Little Kingdom into a new album called Remixes. Says Dead Oceans: From the ambient textures of White Rainbow's "Eye on Dollar" remix to Cornershop's Anthony Saffery adding sitar and percussion to "First Fantasy," these are anything but typical remix rave-ups. A plethora of Halloween shows
It feels like there are a ton of great Halloween live music options this year. Here are a few of the highlights: - LoveLikeFire and Loquat at Bottom of the Hill. KEXP In-Studios, Make-Out Room Party
Seattle's amazing radio station KEXP 90.3FM is doing their first ever remote broadcast from the Bay Area on Jan. 28, 29 and 30. This comes after the Bay Area won their "City-to-City Challenge" during their last fundraising drive. The DJs will be broadcasting from a studio in Berkeley, and bringing the Bay Area some great events and music in the process. The first exciting event is a series of live in-studio sessions.
