Angel Olsen playing two nights at The Fillmore with Chris Cohen

(photo: Amanda Marsalis) Angel Olsen is touring throughout North America with her six-piece band in support of her latest album. Out now on Jagjaguwar, My Woman has remained one of my favorite releases of 2016. She will headline two nights at The Fillmore with support from Chris Cohen on February 15 and 16. Following 2014's Burn Your Fire For No Witness, Angel Olsen has crafted yet another masterpiece of American songwriting. With her singular voice up front more than ever on My Woman standouts like "Intern" and "Shut Up Kiss Me," Angel Olsen continues to impress with her exhaustive vocal [...]

Live This Month: October 2012 — an audio guide through SF concerts this month (Podcast #289) In Live This Month, we sample some of the great local and out-of-town bands performing in the coming month in the San Francisco Bay Area. Chris Cohen has a resume full of involvement in great bands, including Deerhoof and Cryptacize, but his new solo album is an intimate work that ranks as one of this [...]
