Chasms shares new video for "Not in this Dimension”

San Francisco duo Chasms (Jess Labrador and Sky Madden) have shared the official music video for “Not in this Dimension”, another highlight from their Riser EP (following the title track), which was released last month on cassette via Dream Recordings. The video is directed by San Francisco visual artist and musician Marc Manning, formerly of Tied to the Branches. Manning says his work “is based on the idea that art and music are divinatory tools when approached with an empty mind." Chasms celebrate new 'Riser' EP with release show at Warm Leatherette

Weekend celebrating release of 'Jinx' this Friday at the Independent

San Francisco expats living in Brooklyn, Weekend return home to the Independent on Friday night to celebrate the release of their sophomore album Jinx, out July 23 on Slumberland Records, and to kick off a couple months of off-and-on touring across North America in support of the new record. Division of Labor Festival opens with Bad News at The Lab, 6/13/13

Bad News The Lab is presenting the Division of Labor Festival 2013 this month, spanning eight nights of experimental music, performance, and art. Wax Idols celebrate album release with The Mallard and Chasms at Brick & Mortar, 3/30/13

Oakland post-punk quartet Wax Idols are making a big stand this year, already having recovered from standout festival performances at SXSW and Noise Pop showcases. The band will headline a show at Brick & Mortar Music Hall on Saturday, March 30, with support from The Mallard, Chasms, and DJ Nako. Bay Area duo Chasms recently announced a handful of California tour dates, along with a new video for “Darker Outside". Comprised of primary songwriter Jess Labrador and collaborator Sky Madden, Chasms blurs dark shoegaze with elements of industrial, goth, and doom. Sleep Genius label celebrates launch with Chasms, Bad News, and Some Ember at The Knockout on Thursday, 12/13/12

On Thursday, December 13th, Mashi Mashi Presents is hosting the dual-purpose Chasms Record Release and Sleep Genius Label Launch Party at The Knockout in San Francisco.
