Introducing: Butch Nasty and the Blackout Kids

You gotta love a song entitled "Shark Week" that sounds like it could reasonably fit on either the first Stooges LP or the latest Black Lips record.  Butch Nasty and The Blackout Kids adroitly balances that line between old-school garage rock scuzz (see: The Seeds, The Sonics, Flamin' Groovies, etc.) and a more modern, sharper punk edge.  Their songs are chock full of sleazy guitar riffs, crashing hi-hat beats and vocals sometimes sounding like a drunken cowboy Danzig, sometimes like a rabid Iggy Pop foaming at the mouth.
