Burnt Palms release new LP ‘Back On My Wall’, video for “Last Time”

Seaside, California-based quartet Burnt Palms have released their third studio album. Back On My Wall is out now on We Were Never Being Boring. The Limited Edition 12-inch black vinyl LP comes with a bonus demo CD with earlier versions of songs from the LP. The album is also available streaming via Bandcamp. Burnt Palms' new single "Last Time" comes with a music video that reveals the band recording the song at Speakeasy Studio in San Francisco, before the album was mixed at Marlborough Farms in Brooklyn. Monterey-based Burnt Palms will release their sophomore album The Girl You Knew on May 26 via the WWNBB collective, and today we're proud to premiere the first single off that forthcoming album, the lo-fi garage pop gem "Open My Eyes". Browner Red and blue lights sparsely illuminated the stage at Brick and Mortar Music Hall for the duration of Monday night's stacked lineup, featuring No Joy, Heavy Hawaii, Wild Moth, and Burnt Palms. The crowd gradually filled in throughout the evening, providing a respectable, albeit tame turnout for the show. Seaside trio Burnt Palms opened the show with a set of jangly beach rock to please the early-comers. Professional Fans are at it again with another Grade A California showcase featuring Colleen Green, SISU, and Burnt Palms at Cafe Du Nord on Monday, July 22. Hardly Art sweetheart Colleen Green (West LA) released her debut LP with the label in March. Following the Ramones and Descendents-inspired themes of her early releases Cujo and Milo Goes To Compton, her new album Sock It To Me soaks up the sunny sounds of sad girl stoner pop and rings them out with a sense of gloomy lo-fi flair.
