Budget Rock: tenth (and final) annual fest to feature over 20 bands in four days

The tenth annual Budget Rock Festival will be the final installment of the annual SF rock and roll fest, which takes place between October 20th and 23rd at Thee Parkside and Bottom of the Hill. The fest's lineup mixes acts from garage's past and present, with Nobunny, Personal and the Pizzas, and Hank IV joined by older bands like SF's The Rip Offs (playing their first show in SF show in 16 years) and The Phantom Surfers. Budget Rock 9: Schedule announced, tickets available

The folks behind Budget Rock 9 recently announced the 2010 festival's full lineup of shows, taking place October 21st-24th at The Eagle, Thee Parkside and Bottom of the Hill. Alongside locals like the reuniting Icky Boyfriends, Shannon and the Clams, The Wrong Words, and Tropical Sleep, Budget Rock features Memphis garage punk legends The Oblivians, as well as post-Oblivians bands Reigning Sound and Jack O & The Tennessee Tearjerkers. Budget Rock 8 begins today

Budget Rock 8 kicks off today, with shows at The Eagle, Thee Parkside, and Bottom of the Hill over the next four days. The festival features a bunch of the Bay's best garage-influenced groups, including two reunion performances by The Mummies, who were pioneering lo-fi garage punk in the early '90s.
