San Francisco's own Brother Pacific is an Americana rock project that creates an infectious country-tinged fusion of folk and indie rock music. The band released its second EP, Give it to Me, last September but the record is worth sharing over and over again. Colored with ringing keyboard organ, vocalist Steve Franks' pensive drawl, intimate lyrics and plenty of references to the past, the record takes listeners on a journey through the highs and lows of human emotion without ever extinguishing a burning sense of hope.
