Bria Skonberg (photo: Ria Burman) Bria Skonberg brought sultry and strong jazz-jumping tunes to SFJAZZ Sunday night, performing classics and originals with her band. Taking the trumpet to both ends of the spectrum, Bria Skonberg blasted the brass with bold, bopping songs before delving into the vulnerable and gentle, with moments of silence held between breaths of tender trumpeting. Her 2016 album Bria won the Juno award for Vocal Jazz Album, and her latest album With A Twist is nominated for this year's Juno award. Keep our fingers crossed for Bria Skonberg on March 25!
