Otto Mobile and the Moaners Otto Mobile and The Moaners and TV Mike and The Scarecrowes – two Bay Area bands composed mostly of Indiana transplants – are both releasing LPs, so they're celebrating with an all-Indiana native show at Amnesia January 24th. Restless Sun is the second LP for Otto Mobile, which is led by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Matt Lundquist. Lundquist splits his time between San Francisco and his hometown of Bloomington, Indiana. Brand New Trash (above, top) and Coo Coo Birds (above, bottom) are joining forces for a dual record release celebration tonight at Bottom of the Hill. The former band – a new project from Indiana natives, Oakland residents, founders of Buxter Hoot'n, and brothers Vince and Jimmy Dewald – is releasing their debut self-titled LP, while the latter is dropping its second studio album of 2012, the aptly titled Psychedelic Warrior. Brand New Trash covers 2Pac's "Brenda's Got a Baby" on forthcoming debut LP

Brand New Trash, the nacent "trash pop" project from Buxter Hoot'n founders and brothers Vince and Jimmy Dewald, is primed to release its debut full-length on November 15th. The band has slowly shared tracks off that record via Bandcamp, most recently rocking a cover of "Brenda's Got a Baby", the late, great Tupac Shakur's debut single from 1991. You can hear the Dewald brothers' dirty roots rock interpretation of the slain rapper's meditation on teen pregnancy below, replete with Tom Petty-inspired harmonica and plenty of distorted guitars to go around.
