A night of nostalgia: Black Flag at Brick and Mortar

The audience, less than under-attended, had somehow taken haven as far away from the stage as Feigel crept across the room making use of the space and the apprehensive crowd around her. Black Flag is back: show at Brick & Mortar with Scraper/Violence Creeps

Black Flag have announced a North American Tour, with their newest frontman, professional skateboarder Mike Vallely. After an on-stage firing of Black Flag’s last vocalist, Ron Reyes, and an array of lawsuits and dueling reunions, it seems as if the pivotal SST Records band has calmed down enough to reunite once again with a show at Brick and Mortar on May 22. An amusing and notable thing about this latest reunion is founding member Greg Ginn taking the liberty to be both headliner and opening act with HOR –– the uncomfortable experimental, electronic side project of Ginn.
