Jungle and Beat Connection play for full house at The Independent

Saturday night brought jungle fever to The Independent, with Jungle and Beat Connection performing for a packed house. Seattle's Beat Connection seemed very excited to open for Jungle on their West Coast tour. The sold out show began around 9:30, as Beat Connection got things moving with a bright and polished set. The band will release a follow-up to 2012's The Palace Garden later this year. Between sets, Justin Milla occupied the DJ booth with Fleetwood Mac disco edits and other surprises. Much to the delight of indie electro fans everywhere, Seattle's Beat Connection is taking some time off from classes this summer to tour the country. They kicked off their nationwide dates at San Francisco's POPSCENE last Thursday. It's hard to believe that some of these guys are still in college because their sound is incredibly complex. Beat Connection coming to SF 6/14/12

On first listen it;s hard to believe these guys started making music as college freshmen on garage band in their dorm rooms. Beat Connection's sophisticated electro compositions are well beyond their time. Impressive, soothing and incredibly relevant to the constantly changing direction of the electro music scene, this newly minted quartet are on tour to celebrate their latest EP The Palace Garden.
