Art Boutiki brings back rock shows with Picture Atlantic, Cartoon Bar Fight 6/29/13

After taking a break to set up shop in their new home on Race Street, the beloved Art Boutiki will start hosting rock shows again. Starting with Picture Atlantic, Cartoon Bar Fight and Cold Eskimo on the 29th, fans can expect upcoming shows from more Bay Area acts like Bonnie and the Bang Bang and Koruscant Weekend, with many more to come. Curious Quail, Picture Atlantic, Rin Tin Tiger and more close out Art Boutiki's old location

As the Art Boutiki prepares to move to its new location on Race Street, a few parties are being held to send off its South-First digs in style. The Art Boutiki will be hosting “closing ceremonies” this weekend: its last Big Rock Show, delivered in two installments. Installment one, on March 15th, features local favorites Curious Quail, Brooke D., Drop Dead Sixty and more. Curious Quail set to headline Art Boutiki and debut new member on 1/18/13

Just because the Art Boutiki is moving (by the way, the beloved Boutiki has found a new home! More on that later) doesn’t mean they can’t say goodbye to the old location in style. San Jose’s Curious Quail will headline the Boutiki this Friday, 1/18/13, with help from fellow South Bay-ers Guy Fox, Sweet Hayah, and Bears! Bears! Bears! San Jose's Art Boutiki to close current location

In a turn of events that unfortunately isn’t that surprising for San Jose's all-ages scene, the much-loved SLG Art Boutiki & Gallery will be closing its doors this coming spring. Though it’s been an indispensable arm of the downtown arts scene for many years, the Boutiki's current building is being razed to make way for an apartment complex.
