Mission dwellers, mark your calendars for August 18 for the return of Noise Pop's 20th Street Block Party. This annual event is one of the ultra-local highlights of San Francisco summer, taking place on the stretch of 20th Street between Harrison and Bryant. The mother of all San Francisco street festivals is happening this weekend: The 20th Street Block Party, located on the far end of The Mission, takes place this Saturday. Hosted by our friends at Noise Pop, this year's lineup includes performances from the likes of Chicano Batman and Boulevards and locals Hazel English, Madeline Kenney, and Spooky Mansion. As previously mentioned, the 2016 20th Street Block Party will take place on August 20th. This year, however, the 20th Street Block Party will not just take place on 20th Street, and will expand the music and other festivities to 19th street. Alert! Alert! The popular 20th Street Block Party has officially announced its return for this summer. Not many details yet, but we can confirm that it will all go down on Saturday, August 20th. As always, the free daytime event will bring several stages featuring the best in local music, art, and food to the outskirts of the Mission. 2016 will also be the first year the festival expands onto a section of 19th Street.
